I had that problem on my Garmin Vivoactive 3 but my Fenix 6 Pro behaves really well. I get the heart rate readings that I expect from my workouts, trainings and resting HR. My resting HR is normally low like 45-50 which the watch captures well. My cardio is normally between 130 and 150 and the watch is in the range.
To begin, we’ve got the buttons to talk about. The Enduro watch has five buttons, and no touchscreen (just like the rest of the Garmin Fenix 6 series). Meanwhile, on the bottom, you’ll find the Garmin Elevate optical HR sensor, which is used for both 24×7 heart rate readings, but also workout HR readings. In addition, it records SpO2
I purchased a Fenix 6X Pro about a year ago and love it. I use it primarily for running and found a lot of the numbers to be fairly accurate (HR, SVO2, etc.) when I compared them with other devices at the same time. As of about a month ago, I noticed that my heart rate data seems off- it’s reading lower than it should be.
Note that your treadmill will not pick up the heart rate until AFTER you initiate activity on your watch, e.g, start "treadmill runnning" or similar even after that, there may be a delay of 5-10 seconds for pairing to occur. This article suggests you can do it - the watch will broadcast a standard BLE HR signal. I own a Garmin Fenix 6 Sapphire and a Garmin VivoActive HR. The VivoActive heart rate reading has been incredibly accurate for the past 3 years. I expected the same results from a watch that costs 4 times as much but I have been let down so far. My new Garmin Fenix 6 Sapphire HR reading is typically 30-40 beats lower then it should be. Add me to the list. I got a Fenix 6X Solar. Very tough to get HR (would have to sit and hold/press the watch, tilt the watch, etc), but never got PulseOx. It came with the 2.2 firmware, so I of course updated to 3.0. Still had issues. I reset to factory defaults, and set it up manually (not pairing with my phone).
I just ran with new 6X Pro on one wrist and Fenix 3 with external HR on another. Wrist-based HR on 6X was 3-5bpm less and slightly delayed, but otherwise was spot on. During workouts I prefer to wear external HR as there is too much wrist motion when working upper body so it is not fair to blame Garmin for inaccuracy this case as I see it.

HRM-RUN stopped working suddenly. I've had an HRM-Run since December. It was working fine until Wednesday when it took several minutes for my Fenix 6X Pro to recognise it. Since then it seems invisible to the watch. I've changed the battery. It worked once but nothing since. I've checked for the corrosion thing but there's none of that.
If you haven’t used these before, you’ll scroll down a bunch in the usual sport start menu, and you’ll see the option to add a new sport. Scroll down until you can’t scroll anymore, and you’ll have found XC Skiing. Then go ahead and launch the sport. As soon as the HRM-PRO is connected you’ll see the new ‘Power’ field.
Cannot connect HRM Tri / HRM Run. I owned both HRM Tri & Run while checking the connection I noticed that they are just not connected to the watch. I tried to remove my sensors from the list and adding them again .. no luck the watch is not detecting the HRMs (did try with both the HRM Tri & Run). I tested those HRMs with my Garmin Edge
Fenix and Edge integration - best practices. I´m using a Fenix 6 and a Edge 530 to ride. I tested some solutions: - use each one individually, the problem with this solution is that they generate two activities that hinder training statistics. - use the Edge as an extended screen (the menu is difficult to access and the connection is not the The likes of the Polar Grit X Pro offer 40 hours of run timing using GPS, while the Garmin Fenix 7 lasts up to 73 hours in GPS mode. Fit: If you’re a more petite build, you’ll want something RdFZ.
